POEM LIFE was an idea that bloomed when poet Shaun Perkins wrote and began performing her one-woman show of that same name. POEM LIFE expanded to include a podcast and a daily email list.
Shaun Perkins, born and raised in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, is the founder/director of the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry. She is a teaching artist with the Oklahoma Arts Council and the webmaster/liaison for the state storytelling organization The Territory Tellers.
Shaun has presented numerous talks and workshops, in addition to poetry readings and performances, at conferences and festivals all over the country.
A graduate of both Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma, she is a lifelong poet who has been published in a variety of journals and publications. She writes a weekly column for The Paper out of Mayes County. She is the author of many books, all of which are available for purchase online.
